BELINDA CHARLOTTE JEWELLERY

Handmade Jewellery

I carefully select the materials used - sterling silver, freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones - to ensure their quality. All materials are purchased from suppliers that, where possible, ensure products are sourced ethically and in an environmentally friendly manner. Each piece of jewellery I make is either one of a kind or of limited availability.

Excitingly, due to the natural variations found in the semi-precious stones used each hand made piece of jewellery is unique. I am always delighted to work with you to on a piece of jewellery that is bespoke. Each piece can be made to your specifications. So if you would like an item made with a different stone, or length, I would be delighted to do that for you. I would also be delighted to work with you to develop design ideas that you have.

Silver

I try to use British Sterling Silver (STS) which is 92.5% silver as much as possible.

I also use Karen Tribe silver from the Karen Hill Tribe of northern Thailand. All pieces are made by one tribe and is 99.5 to 99.9%. Every piece is handmade by a craftsman, so every one is individual. Karen silver is different from sterling silver, has a weight, colour and feel all of its own - this silver is white, shining and satiny, the hand-hammered and chased details are wonderful and you can actually see evidence of each piece being handmade; for the most part these pieces are not hallmarked in any way, but their origins are guaranteed.

Some pieces are made using Fine Silver which is 99.5-99.9% silver. I make these pieces use Precious Metal Clay, which is produced from recycled and reclaimed silver.
